However, an acompanying document that explicitly mentions UN S C Resol 242 and Y Arafat\'s statements in Geneva a month later were accepted by the US as sufficient to remove the ambiguities in the decl. Based on this,the decl can be interpreted to have RECOGNIZED ISRAEL IN ITS PRE-1967 BOUNDRIES.

Israel was given the legal right to govern a specified area of land. They did not drive the Arabs away. Those who remained in Israel are happy there (ask them - they want to stay). Arabs were given Jordan and the \"Palestinians\" attempted to take over and were expelled. Why is it that you believe Israel violates human rights. Arabs in Israel have more human rights than they have anywhere else on earth - except possibly for Arabs in the United States.
